Tart!
Well, they're back with a vengeance, and a website, Mrs. Prindables.com. They're still $20, with at least $10 shipping, but they sounded so good!
Not so fast.
In the three or four years since I've had a Mrs. Prindables apple they have changed the recipe considerably. First, they used to start with sweet apple, probably a Fuji, then covered it with toffee, chocolate and nuts. Now they are proudly using Granny Smith apples, and mine was so sour even my kids wouldn't eat it! Covered in candy!
Also, the toffee has changed and was nowhere near as good as it used to be. I'm really sad, and $30 poorer, but at least I saved those 1500 calories!
